Shore Trips (April-November)
Starting in April and peaking through June, then again in the fall, it's all about the striped bass. The bite from the Connecticut shore can be excellent, even when it presents unique challenges.

The terrain along the coast is ideal for wading anglers with a mix of large and small reefs, mud flats, river outflows, beaches, creeks, bays, sandbars, jetties, points and islands.

May and June are prime months for fly rod bass. Sandeels invade the flats and adjacent outflows and action at the river mouths is at it's best. Dusk and evening wade trips around this time can be very hot on the reefs, large sandbars and rock fields throwing sub-surface patterns

For out of state anglers as well as residents, learning where to access prime water is half the battle. Whether you're new to fly fishing, coming out of the trout stream or want to have more success, let's fish. Contact for info.

Kayak Trips

Kayaking the Norwalk Islands is an outstanding way to get shots at large stripers, bluefish, bonito and albacore on the fly rod.

A short paddle from the Connecticut shore gets you in really great water with large boulder fields, reefs and rips dotting the islands. Stashing your kayak on shore and wading the island shores for shots from foot is especially effective.

The Norwalk Islands is a dynamic fishery. While the area gets fished hard, there is no denying that many rips edges, shorelines and structure is lightly targeted because of the hazards for boaters.
